DESCRIPTION AND SITUATION

Casa María belongs to a group of three beautiful rustic houses, welcoming, with typical structure located at a vineyard in Alajero municipality , few meters far from the crossroads which leads to the centre, the airport and Playa Santiago.
Belonging to its present owner’s family, Casa María was many years ago, part of the wine cellar, wine press and house these owners had in order to stay here in grape harvest time.
After being restored this housing, was divided into three different houses, Casa Juana, Casa María and Casa Carmen. So these new structures are based on two heights. In this way we have Casa María on a first level which , at the same time, is divided into two floors: on the first the lounge bathroom, kitchen and living room are situated, instead we have the bedrooms on the 2nd floor. Indoors the bedrooms ar large also due to the high roofs
Wooden furniture in old style and rustic characteristics are used for decoration. This, together with the walls colour, stoned floors and wooden roofs –divided into different spaces—gives the inside a natural and functional atmosphere.
These houses have got their own parking near the entrance. At this point an old threshing floor in perfectly kept. Next to it, stoned too, there is a path that leads you to the yard centre, which was also used by neighbours to get the village nucleus. We find many paths near the house we recommend you to walk.
At Alajeró nucleous we can visit El Salvador church, inside there is a 17th Century Christ figure. Few kilometres from here is Playa de Santiago where we can enjoy excellent beaches and warm weather almost all the year long. Near these houses, too, we get Garajonay National Park as you can appreciate o a map of the island. And from here you can join all the activities La Gomera offers you as a visitor.
At wine crops time it is possible to take part in it. Due to the altitude and proximity to Garajonay National Park, the temperature is nice and warm, even in summer. So we recommended you to take some coats. The access to this house is by means of a stoned path, so it is better you to take comfortable shoes.
The house is equipped with: sheets, blankets, towels and kitchenwave.
