DESCRIPTION AND SITUATION

The Rural House “El Tabaibal” is an old traditional gomero house build at the end of the XVIII century, located in the neighbourhood of the same name, situated between the middle and high areas of the valley. The style of this construction is the one used for lodging farmers that worked the land and their families. Detail as the load wall that occupies the practical entire bottom of the house, formed by big stones similar to those used in the realization of the firewood oven that is located in the kitchen and the conservation of numerous pieces of old traditional pottery make it very remarkable. This rehabilitated house offers a perfect alive reflection of rural housing of the time.
The furniture combines rustic modern furniture with old furniture and beautiful harmonious decoration.
The main attractiveness that this house offers us is the wide terrace located along the whole facade. From this area a panoramic view of a big part of the Valley of Hermigua, the old harbour with a natural pool, the sea, and the neighbouring island of Tenerife with the volcano, the Teide, the highest pick in the Spanish geography.
If besides lodging in a rural area you want to enjoy the activities that this region offers, take advantage of the numerous walking paths or practice mountain bike. In summer you can relax at the natural and municipal pool which is very close, next to the small beaches, as La Caleta, that provide beautiful bathing areas accompanied by restaurants and toilets.
You have to access the house by a stair-like path that starts on the main road where the car is parked at about 90 meters from the house; we recommend the use of comfortable footwear.

Minimum Stay: 3 nigths (High season consult us)

- Low Season (L.S.): May, June and October.
- High Season (H.S.): Rest of year.
